The Ara Pacis Museum mainly preserves the monumental altar dedicated to the deity of Peace from which it takes its name, built in the I century BC. The Ara Pacis Augustae is one of the most important celebratory monuments of the imperial age and the museum, that today houses it, shows a very interesting combination between ancient and contemporary architecture.

The Borghese Gallery is an art museum famous in all the world thanks to its incredible collection. It was established in 17th century by Scipione Borghese (nephew of the pope Paolo V) a great lover of ancient and modern art. Walking inside you’ll admire some of the most famous and beautiful paintings and sculpture of 17th and 18th centuries and an unique architectural place.

The Vatican Museums are one of the largest and most important art collections in the world, given that they exhibit, since the Renaissance, the enormous collection of works of art accumulated over the centuries by the Popes. Considering the size of these museums we’ll tend to favor the most important sections in this tour, ending it at the Sistine Chapel.
