On this guided tour you will discover the archaeological heart of Rome.
We will start from the Colosseum, the largest amphitheater in the Roman Empire and in the world, and the eternal symbol of the city of Rome. Built about 2,000 years ago, it was the scene of deadly clashes between gladiators from all over the world, and so-called venationes, real hunts with the appearance of ferocious animals, all to ensure the entertainment of the Roman people.
We will walk in the Roman Forum, the ancient main square of the city, and the social, religious and political center of Rome. In the Forum we will admire ancient pagan temples and public buildings, from the senate to the place where Julius Caesar was cremated.
We will walk the paths of the mythical Palatine Hill, to discover the place where Romulus founded Rome, in 753 BC. Right on this hill we will walk among the majestic ruins of the Imperial Palaces, which served as the official residence of the Roman Emperors for over five centuries.
