The Aventine Hill is one of the most romantic places in Rome. From the main rooftop, located in the Savelli park, you can immerse yourself in a breathtaking view of the city, and a series of visual fascinations that take you back over the centuries to the foundation of Rome.

The view towards the Tiber river reminds us of the strong link between the city and the river, fundamental for the birth and economic development of Rome; the Port of Ripa Grande, active until 1880, when the construction of the big walls deprived the arsenal of contact with the river. The Aventine himself, according to legend, is associated with a large ship, sacred to the Knights Templar, ready to set sail for the Holy Land.

The Roman panorama cannot be such without its domes, and obviously the Giardino degli Aranci offers one of the best views of the great dome of St. Pietro.

During the tour we will discover the secrets of the Aventine hill, from its panoramic views to its most significant churches, retracing the history and transformations of this mythical place, from the first settlements to today.
