PROGRAM FOR 3 DAYS IN ROME

A plan for 3 days-trip in Rome that includes the most important attractions and guided tours!

1° Day

In the first part of the day, you’ll discover some of the most beautiful squares in Rome, through a walk in the historic center. The main squares included in this tour are:

  • Navona Square (Piazza Navona)
  • Campo de’ Fiori Square (Piazza Campo de’ Fiori)
  • Pantheon (Piazza della Rotonda)
  • Trevi Fountain Square (Piazza di Trevi)
  • Spanish Steps (Piazza di Spagna)

In the second part of the day, we’ll move toward the other side of the Tiber River, arriving in one of the most charming neighbourhoods of Rome:

  • Trastevere

Trastevere shows, more than anything else, a unique urban layout and it looks more like a medieval village inside the city. You’ll feel like to be in a real labyrinth thanks to its narrow and irregular streets!

This district will impress you with its authenticity and its long history. We can end the walk at the most beautiful view of Rome, Janiculum Hill, that dominates the area.

Note: Between the two parts you’ll be taken to one of the most excellent local restaurants located in the center.

2° Day

In the first part of the day we’ll visit the Vatican Museums and St. Peter Basilica.

The Vatican Museums are among the largest museums in the world, for this reason we will tend to favour the most important sections in this tour to ensure a good view.

St. Peter Basilica is the largest, most rich and spectacular Italian church. We’ll talk about the history of the area and the most important masterpieces placed inside the church.

In the second part of the tour you’ll live a magic experience in one of the most secrets places of Rome: Catacombs of St Domitila.

Catacombs are underground galleries used in the early Christian Age as cemeteries. They are rich of interesting stories and mystery. Catacombs of St Domitilla is one of the biggest in Rome.

Note: Between the two parts you’ll be taken to one of the most excellent local restaurants located in the center.

3° Day

In the first part of the day you’ll discover the archaeological heart of Rome:

  • Colosseum: the largest amphitheatre in the Roman Empire and the eternal symbol of the city of Rome.
  • Roman Forum: the ancient main square of the city, which was the social, religious and political center of Rome.
  • Palatine Hill: the place where Romulus founded Rome in 753 BC and place which served as the official residence of the Roman Emperors for over five centuries.

In the second part of the day we’ll walk toward a very important and interesting area of Rome:

  • Jewish district (where the old ghetto was created).

You’ll discover the history of the area, passing through the most important alleys, squares, and admiring some ancient ruins.

We’ll alternate the story with evocation of dramatic events and moments of rebirth, through memories, important anecdotes and popular legends.

TRANSPORTATION

These itineraries are all reachable from each other on foot.

We always encourage the clients to enjoy the city simply walking through its alleys and narrow streets, it’s a healty and ecological way to notice beautiful details and hidden places. But in case of disabilities or in case the time is limited, I can provide you these few options:

  • Private driver

Reach each site and place easily and quickly (minimum 4 hours per day)

  • Golf Cart:

A unique way to explore the city and move quickly through its narrow alleys (minimum 3 hours per day) 

  • Taxi

Easy to find everywhere

  • THE PLAN CAN BE CHANGED ACCORDING TO YOUR PREFERENCE
  • ONCE THE PLAN AND THE DATES ARE CONFIRMED THE CLIENT PAYS A DEPOSIT OF 20% OF THE TOTAL COST IN ORDER TO HOLD THE RESERVATION AND ALLOW FOR THE PURCHASE OF TICKETS
  • IN CASE OF CANCELATION AT LEAST 15 DAYS BEFORE THE TRIP, A PARTIAL REFUND OF THE DEPOSIT WILL BE GARANTEED (probably the money spent for the tickets will no longer be available)
